A respected master electrician, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, Jesse leaves behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Born on March 1, 1996, in Midland, Texas, Jesse was raised in West Texas, where he developed strong family values and built lifelong friendships. Those who knew him remember his infectious smile, positive attitude, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether assisting a neighbor, supporting a coworker, or spending time with loved ones, Jesse approached every aspect of life with kindness, humility, and generosity.
Family was the center of Jesse’s life. He embraced fatherhood with pride and unconditional love, cherishing every moment with his daughters, Audree Melendez and Valentina Melendez. He dreamed of providing them with every opportunity to succeed and worked tirelessly to build a secure and loving future for his family. Friends and relatives recall his patience, encouragement, and the joy he found in watching his children grow.
Jesse also shared a beautiful life with his wife, Alondra Carrasco. The couple married on July 5, 2025, beginning a new chapter built on faith, commitment, and mutual support. Their happiness grew even greater with the birth of their daughter, Valentina, in January 2026. Jesse embraced his roles as husband and father wholeheartedly, always placing his family’s needs above his own.
Professionally, Jesse earned the respect of colleagues through his work as a master electrician. Known for his technical expertise, strong work ethic, and attention to detail, he took pride in every project he completed. His dedication to excellence and his determination to overcome challenges made him a trusted professional and an inspiration to those who worked alongside him.
Beyond his career, Jesse enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Whether attending celebrations, listening to music, dancing, or simply gathering with loved ones, he believed life’s greatest blessings were found in shared experiences. His warm personality and sense of humor brought people together, creating memories that those closest to him will cherish forever.
Jesse maintained close relationships with his parents, Cruz Alvarado and Nataly Alvarado, who played an important role in shaping the man he became. He also shared a special bond with his sister, Tiffany Melendez, whose lifelong friendship was rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering support. His friendships were equally meaningful, including his close relationship with his best friend, Joe, whom he considered a brother.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Tyler Melendez, and his grandfather, Armando Juarez Porras.
Jesse is survived by his devoted wife, Alondra Carrasco; daughters Audree and Valentina Melendez; his parents, Cruz and Nataly Alvarado; his sister, Tiffany Melendez; and numerous extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will continue to honor his memory.
Visitation is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Acres West 24 Hour Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jesse’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will follow on Saturday, July 18, at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Although his life ended far too soon, Jesse Porras Melendez III will be remembered for his loving heart, unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and commitment to serving others. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the lasting memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
