The Graceville, Florida, community is mourning the loss of William “Bill” Morrow, who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 62 following complications from surgery. His passing has left family, friends, church members, and coworkers grieving the loss of a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and respected truck driver whose life was defined by faith, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Born on October 7, 1963, Bill was the son of Jeannette Morrow and the late John M. Morrow. A lifelong resident of Graceville, he graduated from Graceville High School with the Class of 1981 and remained deeply connected to the community that shaped his life. Those who knew him remember a dependable, humble man who was always willing to lend a helping hand and whose quiet kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Bill shared a loving marriage with his wife, Sandra Hunter Morrow, building a home centered on faith, love, and family. Together they created countless cherished memories while supporting one another through every stage of life. Family remained the foundation of everything Bill did, and he found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved most.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sandra Hunter Morrow; his son, Wesley Dalton Morrow; his mother, Jeannette Morrow; his sister, Anna Morrow Thomas; his stepchildren, Jessica Pugh and Austin Deacon; his grandchildren, Emma Pugh, Lily Pugh, Ethan Pugh, Hailey Deacon, and James Deacon, all of Newnan, Georgia; his special cousin, George “Skip” Taylor of Navarre, Florida; and numerous extended family members and close friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, John M. Morrow, and his grandparents, George and Mary Frances Morrow of Graceville, Florida, and Dewey and Berta B. Peel of Louisville, Alabama.
From an early age, Bill developed a passion for trucks that became both a career and a calling. As a dedicated employee of Johnston Trucking in Brundidge, Alabama, he earned the respect of coworkers through his professionalism, reliability, and exceptional work ethic. He approached every responsibility with honesty and determination, becoming known as someone who could always be counted on.
Faith guided every aspect of Bill’s life. As a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Graceville, he actively participated in his church family and sought to serve others with humility, compassion, and generosity. Friends remember him as a man whose quiet faith was reflected not only in his words but also in his daily actions, always placing the needs of others before his own.
Whether sharing stories with friends, spending time with his grandchildren, or simply offering encouragement to someone in need, Bill had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and appreciated. His steady presence, warm heart, and genuine kindness created a legacy that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life honoring Bill was held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Graceville, with burial following at Marvin Chapel Cemetery under the direction of James & Lipford Funeral Home. Family and friends gathered to celebrate a life marked by integrity, compassion, and steadfast faith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Graceville, reflecting Bill’s lifelong commitment to his church and community.
Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, William “Bill” Morrow’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, humility, and unwavering faith.
